Placements24 is seeking a motivated Tourism Development Officer for the Queenstown region. You will identify opportunities, develop new tourism products, and support local businesses to enhance visitor experiences and economic impact.

Collaborate with local government, operators, and marketing agencies to promote the region as a premier destination. Strong analytical, planning, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Tourism Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in tourism development, planning, or a related sector.
• Strong understanding of tourism market dynamics, product development, and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent research, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
• Proficiency in project management and report writing.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.

Responsabilités

• Identify emerging tourism trends and market opportunities for the region.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for tourism product development and diversification.
• Provide support and guidance to local tourism businesses including SMEs.
• Collaborate with marketing and communications to promote the region domestically and internationally.
