Job summary

Air Liquide New Zealand is seeking a Regional Projects Engineer reporting to the Regional Manager for Customer Installations Engineering. You will lead high-impact regional projects, drive safety, reliability, and quality across customer installations, and collaborate with clients from planning to handover.

The role emphasizes cost control, end-to-end engagement, SWMS and risk assessments, asset management, and ongoing technical support to national engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in project implementation, commercial customer management, and gas equipment maintenance.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD to adapt and modify standard drawings.
• Strong negotiation, interpersonal and solution-focused decision-making with stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

• Financial oversight: analyze and deliver accurate project costings within budgets.
• End-to-end customer engagement from planning to handover and ongoing maintenance support.
• Safety & compliance stewardship: develop and audit SWMS and risk assessments to maintain safety standards.
• Asset & process optimization: implement regional asset structures and improve SOPs via continuous projects.
• Technical engineering support: review and suggest enhancements to the national engineering team.
