Job summary

Health New Zealand (Te Whatu Ora) seeks three Regional Technical Leads to provide strategic leadership and governance of payroll technology across the Northern, Central, and Southern regions. You will oversee payroll systems, ensure compliance with NZ legislation, and drive upgrades, security controls and testing frameworks.

Qualifications

5–10 years in payroll systems management within large organisations.
Experience leading enterprise payroll technology functions and specialist teams.
Experience managing integrated payroll and HRIS environments for large workforces.
Knowledge of NZ payroll legislation and Holidays Act requirements.
Experience with governance frameworks, testing strategies and technical standards.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and operational governance of payroll technology.
Oversee system upgrades, integrations, testing frameworks and security controls.
Develop and communicate enterprise roadmaps for payroll capability.
Partner with Finance, HRIS, Data & Digital, and external partners to deliver initiatives.
