Job summary

Silver Fern Farms Ltd is seeking a Livestock Representative in New Zealand to work with farmers across the Owaka catchment and surrounding South Otago region. You will manage the full livestock procurement process, including identifying supply, negotiating pricing, coordinating delivery and payment, and resolving issues to support strong supplier relationships.

• Strong understanding of the livestock industry and market dynamics.
• Experience in procurement or supplier management preferred.
• Ability to forecast supply and assess livestock quality.

Responsibilities

• Manage full livestock procurement process for Sheep, Beef, Dairy & Venison, from identifying supply and negotiating pricing to delivery and payment.
• Lead supplier engagement and grow a reliable supplier network.
• Share insights on market trends and support programme and brand development.
• Ensure compliance with animal welfare standards and assurance programmes.
