Placements24 is seeking a Regional Freight Driver based in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will operate a fleet of trucks, ensuring safe, on-time deliveries while maintaining logs and complying with safety policies.

The role demands strong communication with dispatch and a professional customer service approach at pickup and delivery points. The position requires a Code 10/C1 or Code 14/EC license with PrDP, 4+ years of experience, a clean driving record, and familiarity with the Queenstown

Qualifications

• Valid Code 10/C1 or Code 14/EC driver's license with a valid PrDP.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a professional freight or truck driver.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Familiarity with the Queenstown, Eastern Cape region and surrounding routes.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial trucks for regional freight transport.
• Ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods to various destinations.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Secure cargo properly to prevent damage or loss during transit.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company safety policies.
• Maintain accurate driving logs and delivery records.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route status and any issues.
• Provide professional service to customers at pickup and delivery points.
