Seek.co.nz in Dunedin seeks an experienced Regional Account Manager to own the Dunedin portfolio, strengthen relationships with hospitality venues and drive growth across the Southern region.
You will develop partnerships with venue operators, understand their businesses, identify opportunities, and use industry networks to expand our presence in the region.
This role combines relationship management with commercial insight and compliance to support community outcomes through funding.
Build strong partnerships. Identify opportunities. Drive results.
We’re looking for an experienced Regional Account Manager to take ownership of our Dunedin portfolio, strengthen existing relationships and drive growth across the Southern region.
This is more than a relationship management role. We’re looking for someone who can develop genuine, commercially valuable partnerships with venue operators, understand their businesses, identify opportunities for growth, and use their industry networks to expand our presence across the region.
While this is a commercially focused role, it's also an opportunity to make a meaningful impact. The relationships you develop and the opportunities you create contribute to funding that supports communities throughout New Zealand.
We are a leading Class 4 gaming society that works in partnership with hospitality venues across New Zealand. Through the responsible operation of gaming machines in licensed venues, we generate funding that is returned to local communities through grants supporting sport, recreation, community organisations and charitable causes.
Our success is built on strong venue partnerships, commercial expertise and a commitment to operating with integrity, compliance and community impact at the heart of everything we do.
You will:
Manage and expand an established portfolio of hospitality venue relationships
Develop and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with venue operators and key industry stakeholders
Identify and develop new business opportunities across the region
Use commercial insight, data and proven business practices to improve venue performance
Develop a strong understanding of each operator’s business and identify opportunities to add value
Work collaboratively with suppliers and internal teams to deliver excellent service
Maintain high standards of compliance, reporting and financial management
Develop expertise in the Class 4 gaming environment and use this knowledge to support stronger commercial outcomes for venue partners
You’ll be a commercially driven and self-motivated professional with:
5+ years’ experience in account management, business development, sales or a similar role
Strong connections and credibility within the Dunedin hospitality sector
A proven ability to strengthen existing relationships and generate new business
Strong commercial and financial understanding
Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the drive to create opportunities rather than simply respond to them
High personal standards, integrity and a strong commitment to compliance
Excellent organisation, time management and the ability to work independently
Experience in the gaming industry is not essential. We're looking for someone with strong hospitality sector knowledge, commercial capability and relationship management expertise. If you bring those skills, we'll provide the training and support needed to develop your understanding of the Class 4 gaming environment and regulatory framework.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a region and make a measurable impact. You'll work with an established portfolio while having the scope to grow new business, strengthen partnerships and create value for both our organisation and our venue partners. If you enjoy autonomy, relationship building and identifying new opportunities, you'll thrive in this role.
