Qualifications

• Qualified Refrigeration Technician - Level 3 Minimum.
• Valid certification to handle refrigerants (Filler's certification) is essential.
• Proven experience as refrigeration technician in commercial/industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration principles, components and system design.
• Current driving licence and willingness to travel across Rotorua/Bay of Plenty region.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Membership or willingness to join professional bodies is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Installing, commissioning, and testing refrigeration systems for commercial/industrial use.
• Routine maintenance and servicing for optimal performance and safety compliance.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs/replacements as needed.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

Aqua Vent Mechanical Services Limited is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team in Rotorua, Central Bay of Plenty. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing air conditioning and refrigeration company. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration systems for a diverse range of commercial and industrial clients across the region. This role is essential to our operations, as you will directly contribute to ensuring our clients' refrigeration systems operate efficiently and reliably.

Key responsibilities

Installing, commissioning, and testing refrigeration systems and components for commercial and industrial applications

Performing routine maintenance and servicing on refrigeration equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards

Diagnosing faults and defects in refrigeration systems and carrying out repairs and replacements as needed

Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and engineering specifications

Identifying and sourcing appropriate replacement parts and materials

Maintaining detailed records of work completed, including service reports and maintenance schedules

Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations and refrigerant handling procedures

Responding promptly to emergency breakdown calls and providing timely solutions to minimise client downtime

Collaborating with colleagues and management to maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service

What we're looking for
