Job summary

Absolute Zero Refrigeration, a family-owned HVAC specialist based in Drury, South Auckland, is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Engineer to join our team. You will install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems, delivering reliable service to clients across a range of sectors.

We value quality workmanship, strong communication and a proactive approach. You will participate in an on-call roster and contribute to keeping critical systems running

Qualifications

• NZQA Level 4 Refrigeration and Air Conditioning qualification or an equivalent New Zealand-recognized certification
• Hold a current Electrical Service Technician (EST) License
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality workmanship
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, components and controls
• Valid NZ driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain refrigeration systems including commercial refrigeration, freezers and air conditioning units.
• Availability to participate in an on-call roster
• Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration system faults and provide cost-effective solutions.
• Perform routine maintenance and preventative service to ensure the longevity and efficiency of equipment.
• Ensure all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service and effective communication with clients at all times.

What’s involved?

As a refrigeration engineer you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting various refrigeration and cooling systems. Ensuring our clients’ business critical refrigeration systems run efficiently combined with excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
