Job summary

Active Refrigeration in Dunedin is seeking an experienced Refrigeration/HVAC tradesperson to join our team. In this hands-on role, you’ll install, maintain and repair commercial and industrial systems, helping keep clients' critical equipment running smoothly.

Based in Dunedin, this full-time position offers overtime opportunities and a supportive team environment, with chances to expand your skills in commercial and industrial refrigeration through on-the-job training and development.

Qualifications

• Recognised Refrigeration/HVAC qualification or Certificate in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
• Proven experience as a Refrigeration/HVAC tradesperson.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• NZ driver’s license valid for use in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair commercial and industrial Refrigeration/HVAC systems.
• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot Refrigeration/HVAC equipment.
• Carry out repairs, servicing and component replacements.
• Complete scheduled maintenance and respond to breakdowns.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new systems.
• Maintain accurate service records and adhere to safety standards.
