Job summary

Manukau Institute of Technology is seeking a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Tutor to join our team at the TechPark Campus in Auckland. This permanent full-time role focuses on delivering high-quality teaching for pre-trade and apprenticeship programmes in refrigeration and air conditioning.

The successful candidate will hold an Advanced Trade or National Certificate in Refrigeration Engineering/Air Conditioning and have a proven track record in the industry, ideally with at least five years

Qualifications

• Advanced trade or national certification in refrigeration/air conditioning.
• Minimum five years of industry experience.
• Teaching experience is desirable; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Teaching and building positive relationships with ākonga (students).
• Contributing to programme development and review of courses.
• Participating in marketing and promotional activities.

Manukau Institute of Technology and Unitec are a well-recognised provider of tertiary vocational training, offering a comprehensive range of programmes that lead to formal qualifications. The above permanent full-time position is currently available at the Manukau TechPark Campus, teaching pre-trade and apprenticeship programmes.

The successful person will hold an Advanced Trade or National Certificate in Refrigeration Engineering/Air Conditioning qualification and have a proven record of achievement in the industry, preferably with at least five years' experience.

What you will be doing:

• Teaching - and developing positive relationships with ākonga- students.
• Programme Development and Review - Contribution to the evaluation and further development of programmes.
• Participating in marketing and promotional activities.

While previous teaching experience would be an advantage, training is available to support your teaching development and credentials.
