Tradestaff in Hawke’s Bay is seeking a Recruitment Consultant to join our dynamic team. This full-time role is based in All Hawkes Bay and offers a fast-paced environment focused on connecting talent with local employers across the region.

You will identify and source candidates, screen and interview, build networks with candidates and clients, and guide offers from start to finish. The role requires strong communication, organisation, and a results-driven mindset suitable for a thriving

Qualifications

• Experience in recruitment, sales, or related roles with a proven track record.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail managing multiple placements.
• Results-driven mindset with ability to meet targets in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with recruitment software, ATS, and MS Office.
• Passion for helping people find rewarding careers and supporting client growth.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and sourcing qualified candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, networking, and direct outreach
• Screening and interviewing candidates to assess their skills, experience, and cultural fit for specific roles
• Building and maintaining a strong network of both candidates and client employers to support current and future recruitment needs
• Partnering with clients to understand their hiring requirements, organisational culture, and job specifications
• Presenting candidate profiles and recommendations to clients, managing the selection and interview process
• Negotiating offers and terms of employment between candidates and employers
• Providing ongoing support to both candidates and clients throughout the recruitment lifecycle
• Meeting recruitment targets and KPIs whilst maintaining high standards of service and professionalism
• Developing strong relationships with key stakeholders to support business development and account management
• Utilising recruitment software and applicant tracking systems to manage candidate pipelines and job placements

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience in recruitment, sales and or either in house or agency, or a proven track record in sales or business development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with candidates and clients from diverse backgrounds
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple placements simultaneously
• A results driven mindset with the ability to meet targets and work effectively under pressure
• Proficiency in using recruitment software, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office applications
