Job summary

Scenic Hotel Group in Queenstown, NZ, is seeking a hands-on minibar attendant to ensure guest comfort through meticulous stock management and presentation of minibar items.

You will regularly replenishing minibar supplies, conducting stocktakes, checking expiry dates and recording consumption for guest billing, while liaising with housekeeping and maintaining hygiene standards. Additional restaurant shifts may be available for those interested.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food & beverage, minibar, or a similar hospitality role preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
• Comfortable with stock replenishment, stocktakes, and inventory management.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Good time management skills and ability to work efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Replenish minibar items in guest rooms and ensure products are presented neatly.
• Complete regular stocktakes, monitor inventory and report any discrepancies.
• Check product expiry dates and remove damaged or expired items.
• Accurately record minibar consumption and report items for guest billing.
• Assist with receiving, storing and organising minibar stock.
• Keep minibar fridges and storage areas clean, tidy and well maintained.
• Liaise with housekeeping regarding room access and any issues identified.
• Follow hotel hygiene, food safety and health and safety procedures.
• Assist with other hotel duties as required, with additional restaurant shifts available for those interested.

• Hotel: Scenic Suites & Heartland Hotel Queenstown
• Location: 27 Stanley Street, Queenstown 9300
• Employment Type: Full-time, permanent
• Wage Rate: $25-$26 per hour
• Hours of Work: Guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week, 5 days on and 2 days off.
• Shifts: are during the day, generally between 7:30am and 2:00pm, with some flexibility. No evening shifts are required.
• Additional hours: may also be available in our restaurant for anyone interested in picking up extra shifts.
