Job summary

Bayleys Real Estate is seeking a proactive Compliance Manager in New Zealand to oversee AML/CFT compliance, customer risk assessments, and due diligence processes. The role involves training staff and ensuring adherence to laws like REINZ guidelines and the Real Estate Agents Act.

You will work with General Managers, agents and admin staff to uphold high standards and manage compliance-related issues, including disputes and deposits.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of AML/CFT legislation and related compliance requirements.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and accuracy.
• Commitment to obtaining Real Estate License within 12 months.
• Proactive, detail-focused and able to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead AML/CFT compliance activities including customer due diligence and risk assessments.
• Deliver AML training and provide ongoing support across the business.
• Report unusual activity and escalate to AMLCO when required.
• Review and approve agency agreements and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with finance on compliance issues including deposits and discrepancies.
• Support internal and external dispute resolution processes.
