New Zealand Government is seeking an Operations Manager AML to lead a team delivering supervision, investigations and enforcement, shaping the future of AML/CFT regulation in Aotearoa.

You will translate regulatory priorities into practical work plans, manage workloads, and build trusted stakeholder relationships while guiding sound decision-making and change management. AML/CFT knowledge is highly desirable for this role.

Qualifications

• Proven people leadership and operational management capability with experience in regulatory compliance, investigations and enforcement.
• Strong understanding of evidence gathering, assessing non-compliance and proportionate enforcement responses.
• Ability to translate regulatory priorities into practical work plans and manage workloads to deliver timely outcomes.
• Builds trusted stakeholder relationships and communicates clearly, handling challenging conversations with confidence.
