Job summary

Raukura Hauora o Tainui is seeking a General Practitioner to join our established primary care team across our clinics in Hamilton, Huntly and Ngāruawāhia. The role offers Monday to Friday hours with no weekend clinics, a supportive multidisciplinary team, and opportunities to build long-term relationships with patients and whānau.

Qualifications

  • Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
  • A current Annual Practising Certificate.
  • Experience working in general practice or primary healthcare.
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision‑making skills.
  • A patient‑focused approach to care.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • An understanding of culturally safe practice and health equity.
  • An appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi within the health sector.
  • Knowledge of Te Reo Māori and Tikanga Māori is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions.
  • Support patients and whānau to improve their health and wellbeing.

About the Role
