Job summary

Apollo Projects is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to own financial management and estimating for our Auckland projects. You will collaborate with the Project Manager to deliver accurate cost control, budgeting, and procurement, ensuring value across sports, aquatics, and manufacturing construction sectors.

The role requires 5–7 years in a QS role, a QS qualification, and strong communication and negotiation skills. Hybrid working with some remote options supports a balanced schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in a QS role within commercial construction.
• Bachelor or tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Proven experience with Jobpac is non-negotiable.
• Strong teamwork and work ethic.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience with MS Office and MS Project is advantageous.

About the Role:

In conjunction with the Project Manager, you will have financial ownership and provide effective and efficient cost management and estimating services including:

• Monthly client financial reporting.
• Cost estimation and budgeting.
• Tendering and trade procurement.
• Cost control and monitoring.
• Valuation and payment certification.
• Risk management and dispute resolution.

About You:

As a driven self-starter with high attention to detail and an inquisitive personalityyou will add value and continuously strive for excellence! In addition to this, you will have the following attributes:

• At least 5-7 years’ experience in a QS role, in the commercial construction environment.
• A tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, or relevant industry experience.
• Proven experience using Jobpac is non-negotiable.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork skills with a great work ethic.
• Exhibit ample initiative and innovation in the way you work.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Proven experience with the full MS Suite & navigating MS Project software is advantageous.
