Job summary

ACC is a trusted and high-performing organisation focused on care, recovery and injury prevention. As Quality Manager, you will provide independent quality assurance across all phases of delivery within an Agile Release Train, working closely with Architects, Product Owners, Test Leaders and DevOps practitioners.

The appointing salary ranges from $117,787 to $152,430 depending on experience. ACC offers a benefits package including an advantageous 9% superannuation with no mandatory employee

Qualifications

  • Experience leading quality and testing in complex technology environments.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps, software development practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and testing frameworks.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments, including Scrum, Kanban or SAFe.
  • Ability to influence a wide range of technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide independent quality assurance across all phases of delivery within an Agile Release Train (ART).
  • Collaborate with System Architects, Product Owners, Test Leaders and DevOps practitioners to strengthen delivery quality.
  • Improve testing practices and support continuous improvement across the programme.
  • Shape the future direction of ACC's Quality Practice.

About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi

As Quality Manager, you will provide independent quality assurance across all phases of delivery within an Agile Release Train (ART). Working closely with System Architects, Product Owners, Test Leaders and DevOps practitioners, you will help strengthen delivery quality, improve testing practices, support continuous improvement and shape the future direction of ACC's Quality Practice.This is an opportunity to influence large-scale technology delivery that supports ACC's purpose of helping people recover from injury and contributes to keeping Kiwis safe at work, at home, and everywhere in between.

The appointing salary for this role is $117,787 to $152,430 based on experience. About you | Mōu

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated success leading quality and testing to deliver outcomes in complex technology environments.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps, software development practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and testing frameworks.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments, including Scrum, Kanban or SAFe.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships and influence a wide range of technical and business stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven planning, organisation and continuous improvement capability.
  • Experience driving innovation and the adoption of modern ways of working.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply and champion Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles in the design and delivery of systems, processes and ways of working.
  • You must hold New Zealand work rights at the time of application.
