Job summary

Advanced Personnel Services – Auckland, North Island is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established fish processing company, for an experienced Quality Controller to join their team. This hands-on role works on the production line to ensure product quality, food safety and regulatory compliance.

You will monitor processes, perform swab testing, and maintain accurate quality records, with early morning shifts Monday to Friday and occasional Saturdays.

Advanced Personnel Services – Auckland, North Island

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established fish processing company, for an experienced Quality Controller to join their team.

This is a hands-on role within a busy fish processing environment, working directly on the production line to ensure product quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance. This opportunity has the potential to transition from ongoing temporary to permanent for the right candidate.

Hours:

Monday to Friday (and ocassional Saturday) | 4:30am – 1:30pm

About the Role

You will be actively working on the line, monitoring production processes, conducting quality checks, and performing swab testing to maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on the production line conducting real-time quality checks
• Perform environmental and surface swab testing
• Inspect raw and processed fish products for quality and freshness
• Complete accurate documentation and quality records
• Manual handling as required within the production environment

About You:

• Proven experience in quality control within food processing
• Hands-on experience working in a production/processing environment
• Experience conducting swab testing
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks
• High attention to detail and confident raising issues when needed
• Reliable and able to commit to early morning shifts
