Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and technically proficient Quality Control Analyst to join their laboratory team in Queenstown. This role is essential for ensuring the quality and integrity of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished pharmaceutical products. You will perform a range of analytical tests using sophisticated laboratory equipment and ensure all results comply with established specifications and regulatory standards. This is a critical role for an individual dedicated to maintaining the highest quality standards in pharmaceutical manufacturing and testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of analytical tests on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods using techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and dissolution testing.
• Prepare reagents, solutions, and standards required for testing.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring its proper functioning and accuracy.
• Document all testing activities, results, and observations accurately and in accordance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and GMP.
• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and deviations, participating in root cause analysis.
• Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and good laboratory practices within the QC lab.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Quality Control laboratory, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC , GC, and spectrophotometers.
• Strong understanding of analytical chemistry principles and techniques.
• Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data recording and reporting.
