Job summary

Vitaco Health is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist for a 6-month fixed-term in Auckland to join our QA team and uphold GMP and regulatory compliance. You’ll conduct in-process quality checks, participate in CAPAs and audits, and collaborate with production and logistics to ensure product quality.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in QA within GMP environments, strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and a tertiary science or related qualification.

• Exceptional attention to detail with high accuracy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A tertiary qualification in science, food technology or related field

Responsibilities

• Release finished products by verifying compliance with QMS, GMP, and regulatory requirements
• Perform in-process quality checks in manufacturing and packing areas
• Lead investigations into customer complaints and quality issues to identify root causes and drive corrective actions
• Plan and conduct internal audits; participate in CAPA activities
• Prepare, review, and manage manufacturing/packing records and export documents
• Deliver quality-related training to production teams and support new product launches
• Collaborate with production, quality control, logistics, and planning teams to resolve quality issues

Quality Assurance Specialist - 6 months fixed term

Urgent opportunities – immediate start. We’re lookingfor twoexperienced Quality Assurance Specialiststo join our passionate QA team, each on a 6-month fixed-term basis.We’re moving quickly and expect to begin interviewing as early as next week. Inthese hands‑on roles, you’ll collaborate with production and quality control teams to uphold our Quality Management Systems and deliver on the promises wemake to our customers and consumers.

What You’ll Do

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will:

• Ensure Product Quality:Release finishedproducts to the market by verifying compliance with our Quality ManagementSystem (QMS), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and regulatoryrequirements.
• Conduct Quality Checks:Performin-process quality checks in manufacturing and packing areas, ensuringproducts meet specifications at every stage.
• Investigate and Resolve Issues:Leadinvestigations into customer complaints and quality issues identify rootcauses and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Internal Audits & Continuous Improvement:Planand conduct internal audits, participate in continuous improvementprojects, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Documentation & Compliance:Prepare,review, and manage documentation, including manufacturing/packing records,export documents (Certificates of Analysis, Export Declarations), andensure accurate filing and retention of samples.
• Training & Support:Deliverquality-related training to production teams, support new productlaunches, and provide guidance on GMP and regulatory compliance.
• Collaboration:Work closely withproduction, quality control, logistics, planning, and customer feedbackteams to resolve quality issues and support business goals.
• Team Player:Ability to buildrelationships, communicate effectively, and contribute to a supportive,high-performing team.
  

About you

To be successful in this role,you’ll need the following:

• Minimum experience of 2+ years in Quality Assurance –GMP environment
• Exceptional attention to detail with a high level ofaccuracy
• An ability to multi-task and contribute as a teamplayer
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A tertiary qualification in science, food technologyor other relevant field
• Advanced computer literacy, (Microsoft Outlook, Word& Excel)
