Job summary

BODCO is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to uphold product quality across our dairy manufacturing operations in Hamilton, New Zealand. You will collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure compliance with specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.

You will work under the Quality Lead, driving QA activities, releasing materials, reviewing records, and contributing to QMS improvement.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in Food Technology.
• Solid QA experience in the dairy/food industry preferred.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience in dairy processing, infant formula, GMP, HACCP and MPI standards.
• Experience managing NCRs and EDeCs is desirable.
• Mandarin language ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Releasing raw materials and finished goods.
• Collection and preparation of laboratory test samples.

• Updating product summary specification sheets.
• Participating in quality audits.

BODCO, a rapidly growing manufacturer of dairy nutritional products is seeking aQuality Assurance Specialistto join our team. This is afull-time positionbased inPukete,Hamilton.

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of product quality across our manufacturing operations. This position is essential to ensuring that all products meet rigorous quality specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.

You will work closely with production and quality teams to support daily operations, quality compliance, and continuous improvement activities.

Working closely with the Quality Lead, you will be proactive, assertive and have the knowledge to deliver outstanding performance.

Responsible for a variety of quality assurance and control functions including:

• Releasing raw materials and finished goods
• Collection and preparation of laboratory test samples
• Reviewing batch records and laboratory results
• Updating product summary specification sheets
• Participating in quality audits
• Investigating customer complaints, non-conformances and audit finding results
• Initiating exception reports
• Assist in training functions
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System
• Provide QA support and guidance to all departments

To be successful, you will have:

• Relevant tertiaryqualification, preferably in Food Technology. Coupled withsolid QA experience within the dairy or food industry, would be a nice to have
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

We also expect our candidates to possess some of the additional qualities that are essential for this role:

• Experience in Dairy Processing, ideally in infant formula, with a strong understandingof GMP, HACCP, Halal and MPI notices and standards
• Proven experience working as a Quality Assurance Specialist or in a similar quality role within a food manufacturing environment
• Previous experience in the management of NCR's
• Previous experience in the raising of Edec's
• The ability to communicate in Mandarin would be a nice to have
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies and defects accurately
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate quality issues systematically
• A positive attitude with the ability to be agile and adaptable
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong commitment to safety and quality excellence
