Job summary

Taituarā is seeking a Quality Assurance Advisor - Building in Thames to lead and enhance the quality systems that support our Building Consent Authority. You will manage internal audits, accreditation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.

Based in Thames, you will drive quality practices, provide practical guidance to staff, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across the Building Unit, delivering improved efficiency

Qualifications

• Experience in quality assurance, auditing, process improvement, or quality management systems.
• Ability to analyse complex information and provide practical recommendations.
• Excellent administration, document control, reporting, and information management skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities with attention to detail.
• Confidence using technology and systems to support planning, reporting, and service delivery.
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach to problem solving.
• The ability to build trusted relationships, influence stakeholders, and coach others.
• Knowledge of building control processes and related legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality assurance activities across the Building Unit, including internal audits and accreditation activities.
• Develop and monitor reporting, procedural reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen systems and provide practical guidance to staff.
• Build consistency and capability across the Building Unit to enhance efficiency and compliance.
• Support the NZ Building Act, Building Code, and BCA accreditation requirements.

Due to an internal promotion, we are re looking for an experiencedQuality Assurance Advisor - Building to lead and enhance the qualitysystems that support ourBuilding Consent Authority (BCA)

Basedin our Thames office, you'll be the driving force behind our quality assuranceframework, ensuring our systems, processes, and practices remain effective,compliant, and aligned with legislative and accreditation requirements. Yourexpertise will help us maintain the high standards expected of an accreditedBCA while fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the team.

You’lllead quality assurance activities across the Building Unit, including internalaudits, accreditation activities, reporting, procedural reviews, and continuousimprovement initiatives. You'll identify opportunities to strengthen oursystems, provide practical guidance to staff, and help build consistency andcapability across the Building Unit.

Yourwork will support consistent quality practices and drive improvements thatenhance efficiency, compliance, and customer outcomes.
