Job summary

Blue Star Collard in Auckland is seeking a qualified Indigo/Digital Printer to join the Swanson Digital site. You will operate Indigo presses, manage colour, and ensure production targets and quality standards are met.

The role is full-time on a 3 x 12-hour shift pattern, offering exposure to the latest printing technology and a collaborative team focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in printing OR at least 5 years’ Indigo printing experience.
• Proven mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Experience with health & safety and quality systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate Indigo presses to meet production targets and quality standards.
• Machine setup, color management, and ensuring optimal printing performance.
• Produce high quality work with regular checks and task completion.
• Coordinate materials, inks and consumables to minimise downtime and ensure efficient make-ready.
• Ensure preventative maintenance and servicing tasks are performed and recorded.
• Liaise with the wider print team, maintaining safety and compliance on the floor.

About the Role

Due to ongoing growth and investment in the industry’s latest technology, we are looking for a qualified Indigo / Digital Printer to join our Auckland team at our Swanson Digital site.

We require a full time Indigo Printer. In this fulltime role, you’ll be operating on a 3 x 12-hour shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating our Indigo presses to meet production targets and quality standards
• Machine setup, managing colour, and ensuring optimal printing performance
• Producing high quality work, ensuring regular checks, completing job tasks
• Coordinating all materials, inks, and consumables to minimise downtime and ensuring make ready efficiency
• Ensuring all Preventative Maintenance and operator servicing tasks are performed and recorded
• Liaising with the wider print team including assistants, whilst ensuring safety and compliance on the floor.

About you

• A trade qualification in printing OR at least 5 years’ experience in an indigo printing environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude, computer savvy, with an eye for detail
• Experience working with health & safety and quality systems is advantageous
• A proactive, team-oriented approach with an interest in ongoing learning and continuous improvement
