Job summary

Spectrum Print is seeking an Experienced Digital Operator in Christchurch to join a busy printing team. The role involves operating the HP Indigo digital press and supporting the Ricoh fleet, with training provided where needed.

Knowledge of Fiery RIP and Command Workstation is preferred, and guillotine/digital finishing experience is advantageous. The position offers 5 x 8-hour daytime shifts with potential future shifts and possibly night work after training.

Qualifications

• Experienced digital operator with ability to run HP Indigo printing press.
• Knowledge of Command Workstation on a Fiery RIP preferred.
• Guillotine competency and digital finishing experience are advantageous.
• Willingness to adapt to varying shifts and a busy production environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate Indigo digital press to produce high-quality prints.

• Meet tight deadlines and maintain quality across multiple job runs.

Experienced Digital Operator - Christchurch - 40 hours a week

We are looking for an experienced Digital Operator. You will be joining our team and primarily running ourHP Indigo printing press with some cross-over to our Ricoh print fleet. A good working knowledge of Command Workstation on a Fiery RIP is preferred.

Indigo experience is beneficial but not essential as training will be provided as necessary to the successful candidate. Guillotine competency to pre-cut stock and experience with digital finishing equipment would also be an advantage.

As well as being able to operate effectively as part of a busy, highly productive team you will need also to be motivated, self-driven, and able to use your initiative to manage a wide variety of work to ensure a quality product is delivered to critical client deadlines.

The role will initially be based on 5 x 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday. However, as our operational requirements evolve over the coming months, the shift pattern may change.

Flexibility is an important requirement of this position, and we are looking for someone who is willing to adapt to different shift patterns in the future, which could include arrangements such as 3 x 12-hour shifts or 4 x 10-hour shifts, depending on operational requirements.

Whilst the shifts for this role are intended to be day shifts, we would also welcome applications from candidates who would be open to considering a permanent night shift following completion of training, should this option become available
