Job summary

Thinksolar in Nelson is seeking a Qualified Electrician to install Solar PV systems and Tesla Powerwall batteries, helping our community become more energy-efficient.

You will install grid-tie, hybrid, and off-grid systems on roof or ground mounts, coordinate on-site projects, and work with an off-site team. NZ registration and EWRB license are required; growth opportunities exist within a growing team.

Qualifications

• NZ registration and current EWRB practicing license (must have).
• A good communicator and collaborative team player.
• Someone motivated to learn, grow, and take initiative.
• A detail oriented mindset, with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Physically fit – able to lift and install large panels onto roofs.

Responsibilities

Job description

As a Qualified Electrician in our Nelson branch, you’ll play a hands-on role in creating a more sustainable future. You’ll be installing Solar PV systems and Tesla Powerwall batteries for our customers, helping to make Nelson more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. We're also keen to hear from experienced electricians with job management or leadership experience, as this could be valuable as our team continues to grow.

• Coordinating on-site projects, communicating closely with customers and working with with our off-site team
• Diagnose and resolve faults effectively, finding innovative solutions as needed

Experience And Qualifications
