Job summary

Nature’s Cove is seeking a qualified and registered ECE teacher to join our toddlers team (2–3 years) on a maternity cover. This full-time fixed-term role runs from 01/11/2026 to 31/12/2027.

The successful candidate will contribute to a nurturing, culturally responsive learning environment and work closely with a close-knit team. We value relationship-building with tamariki and whānau, quality teaching practices, and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified and registered ECE teacher.

• Able to build genuine, trusting relationships with tamariki, whānau and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Teach toddlers aged 2–3 years as part of a maternity cover.

• Build genuine, trusting relationships with tamariki, whānau and colleagues; collaborate with the teaching team.
• Support and mentor new staff as needed within the centre.

We are looking for a superstar qualified and registered teacher to join our incredible toddlers team (2–3 years) on a maternity cover.

• Builds genuine, trusting relationships with tamariki, whānau and colleagues
• Is positive, collaborative and engaging
• Enjoys working as part of a close-knit teaching team

Head teacher experience would be advantageous, although we welcome teachers at all stages of their ECE journey. Most of our kaiako have significant experience in ECE, so you’ll be surrounded by a knowledgeable and supportive team. If you’re newer to the profession, we’re equally happy to support and mentor you as you grow in confidence within your teaching role.
