Havelock North Early Learning Centre Hawke's Bay is seeking a warm, reliable ECE Teacher for a maternity leave position in our caring early childhood team.

The role is part-time (approximately 24–32 hours per week) with a start date of 19 October 2026 and an end date of 10 May 2027. We welcome certificated teachers or those in training who are passionate about tamariki and high-quality education.

Qualifications

• Ability to work 24–32 hours per week.
• Willingness to work opening and closing shifts.

We are seeking a warm, reliable and child-focused teacher to join our early childhood team in a maternity leave position, with a strong possibility of continued employment for the right applicant.

This role is for approximately 24–32 hours per week and would suit an experienced teacher but we will happily consider an unqualified teacher or a teacher currently in training who is passionate about working with tamariki and committed to providing high-quality care and education.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is kind, nurturing and genuinely child-focused
• Has previous experience working in an ECE setting
• Builds positive relationships with tamariki, whānau and colleagues
• Is reliable, professional and works well as part of a team
• Is available to work full days
• Can work both opening and closing shifts as required
