Employer Sponsored Jobs in Auckland, New Zealand seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join a well-established construction company. This full-time role combines quantity surveying, estimating and project coordination across commercial, residential and light civil projects.

The successful candidate will contribute to cost planning, tendering, procurement and delivery, with opportunities to take on project management responsibilities when required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of quantity surveying or estimating experience in NZ construction.
• Strong knowledge of the New Zealand Building Code and compliance requirements.
• LBP experience or accreditation highly regarded.
• Excellent estimating, budgeting and cost management skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to assess project requirements and prepare project scopes.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, quotations, tenders and project budgets.
• Monitor project costs, variations, progress claims and financial reporting.
• Coordinate procurement of materials and subcontractor services.
• Support project planning, scheduling and cost control throughout delivery.
• Provide advice on construction methods and NZ Building Code compliance.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Minimum3yearsofQuantitySurveyingorEstimatingexperiencewithintheNewZealandconstructionindustry
• RelevanttertiaryqualificationinQuantitySurveyingorarelateddiscipline
• Previoushands-onconstructionorbuildingindustryexperienceinNewZealand
• StrongknowledgeoftheNewZealandBuildingCodeandconstructioncompliancerequirements
• PreviousLBPexperienceoraccreditationwillbehighlyregarded
• Excellentestimating,budgetingandcostmanagementskills
• Experiencemanagingtenders,procurementandsubcontractorcontracts
• Abilitytocoordinatemultipleprojectsandworkunderchangingpriorities
• Strongcommunication,negotiationandstakeholdermanagementskills
• KnowledgeofHealth&SafetyandQualityAssuranceprocesses
• Currentdriver'slicencepreferred
