Job summary

Dominion Salt is seeking a proactive QHS Systems Coordinator to join our Quality, Health and Safety team on an 18-month fixed-term contract. You will help transition existing processes and records into the new system, support its implementation and identify opportunities to simplify and automate our wider QHS processes.

This is not purely administrative; you will work in a busy, process-heavy environment, learn new systems quickly, and turn complex information into accurate, practical reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting the implementation or improvement of a digital business, quality or compliance system.
• Experience in quality or health and safety within a food, chemical, pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Exposure to pharmaceutical GMP or FSSC 22000 would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and ongoing use of Smart Food Safe, including transferring and organising QHS processes, documents and data into the new system.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate QHS workflows.
• Support audits, coordinating responses and on-site support.
• Manage QHS databases, training records, registers and reporting, including data entry, analysis and trend reporting for QHS meetings.
• Maintain controlled documents, SOPs, forms and quality records.
• Support non-conformance, incident and investigation processes, tracking actions to completion.
• Coordinate workplace inspections, hazard reviews, risk assessments and environmental monitoring activities.
• Assist inductions, training and QHS awareness activities.
• Provide day-to-day support across Quality, Food Safety, GMP and Health and Safety activities.

You will join us at an exciting time as we implement a new quality and food safety management system. You will help transition existing processes and records into the new system, support its implementation and identify opportunities to simplify and automate our wider QHS processes.

Key responsibilities

• Supporting the implementation and ongoing use of Smart Food Safe, including transferring and organising QHS processes, documents and data into the new system

• Supporting internal, external, customer and certification audits, including coordinating responses and on-site support
• Managing QHS databases, training records, registers and reporting, including data entry, analysis and trend reporting for QHS meetings
• Maintaining controlled documents, SOPs, forms and quality records
• Supporting non-conformance, incident and investigation processes, including tracking actions to completion
• Coordinating workplace inspections, hazard reviews, risk assessments and environmental monitoring activities, including follow-up actions
• Assisting with inductions, training and QHS awareness activities
• Providing day-to-day support across Quality, Food Safety, GMP and Health and Safety activities

About you

• Computer literate, comfortable working with data and able to quickly learn and confidently use new systems
• Able to manage competing priorities without losing accuracy
• Willing to get stuck in wherever support is needed
• Experience supporting the implementation or improvement of a digital business, quality or compliance system
• Experience in quality or health and safety within a food, chemical, pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment
• Strong digital skills and confidence working with databases, spreadsheets and reporting systems
• Experience simplifying or automating administrative processes
• Excellent attention to detail and document-management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication
• The ability to work at pace, learn on the fly and follow tasks through to completion
• A relevant science, quality or health and safety qualification
• Exposure to pharmaceutical GMP or FSSC 22000, which would be an advantage
