Job summary

Tribe Group in Auckland CBD is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to strengthen automated testing across web and mobile. You’ll join a collaborative product/engineering team to improve confidence in releases by building and maintaining automation and boosting regression coverage.

The role is permanent and full-time, with a flexible hybrid setup typically 2–3 days in the office, offering the chance to influence automation strategy during a period of change and to improve reliability for widely used

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ testing experience in a complex digital/product environment.
• At least 2 years focused on automation.
• Hands-on automation with reliable, maintainable test suites.
• Experience with Playwright (core) and JavaScript/TypeScript automation.
• Exposure to Appium for mobile automation.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman and API checks in test strategy.
• CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into delivery workflows.
• Strong test design translating requirements into high-value automated coverage.
• Collaborative with developers, product and design.
