Job summary

Ministry of Education in Rotorua is seeking a Psychologist to join the Learning Support team. The role focuses on identifying factors affecting learning and wellbeing, and building capacity in schools to support children and young people with additional learning needs.

You will provide guidance to schools and families, deliver specialist assessments, and work within a multi-agency, trans-disciplinary setting. A driver's license and Te Tiriti understanding are required.

Qualifications

  • Master's level qualification in education psychology or equivalent.
  • New Zealand Registered Psychologist with current practicing certificate (or internship).
  • Ability to translate specialist knowledge into practical guidance for schools and families.
  • Experience working in multi-agency, trans-disciplinary settings.
  • Understanding Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tikanga principles.

Responsibilities
