Job summary

Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu is seeking a Development Manager to join the Property team in Ōtautahi / Christchurch. The role focuses on initiating, managing and delivering property development projects aligned with medium and long-term strategies.

You will excel in relationship building, commercial acumen and collaboration, while handling multiple budgets and projects with fiscal discipline. A relevant degree is preferred and minimum 5 years in property development is expected.

Qualifications

• Highly developed relationship building and influencing skills.
• Well developed commercial acumen.
• Excellent collaboration skills in a team environment.
• Financial literacy and the ability to manage multiple budgets and projects.
• Familiarity with the Treaty of Waitangi and its application to the work of Te Rūnanga Group.
• Affinity for and understanding of Ngāi Tahu values and the ability to role model them.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Property, Valuation, Engineering, Project Management or a related degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years’ experience in property development management.

Responsibilities

• Initiation, management and completion of property development projects aligned with Ngāi Tahu Property’s medium and long term strategies.
• Source growth opportunities that will translate into developments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Manage budgets and multiple projects.
• Report to the National Development Manager.
