About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and organized Project Manager to lead important initiatives within the public sector context in Queenstown. This role will involve managing projects that serve the community, requiring close collaboration with various local stakeholders, government departments, and internal teams. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, ensuring successful planning, execution, and delivery within specified timelines and budgets. This position requires a candidate who can navigate complex organizational structures and effectively manage projects in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site collaboration with remote work flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, execution, and successful completion of public sector projects from initiation to closure.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, resources, and timelines in coordination with stakeholders.
• Liaise with government agencies, community groups, and internal departments to ensure project alignment and buy-in.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement timely solutions to ensure objectives are met.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant public sector regulations, policies, and reporting requirements.
• Facilitate effective communication among all project participants, providing regular updates on project status and milestones.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a preference for experience in the public sector or community-focused projects.
