Fisher & Paykel Healthcare in New Zealand is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead strategic HR projects that improve how we work across the organisation. You will deliver change through business process improvement, technology implementation and organisational effectiveness initiatives.

You will partner with HR experts and leaders to define requirements, develop plans, manage risks and drive continuous improvement.

Join our HR team as an experienced Project Manager and lead strategic projects that improve how we work across the organisation. This role offers the opportunity to deliver meaningful change through business process improvement, technology implementation and organisational effectiveness initiatives.

About the opportunity

As Project Manager, you will:

• Lead projects end to end from discovery and planning, through change management, implementation and transition to business-as-usual.
• Partner with HR subject matter experts, people leaders, and business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver practical solutions.
• Develop project plans, governance frameworks, communication plans and reporting.
• Facilitate workshops, gather requirements and document current and future state processes.
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies and change impacts.
• Coordinate resources across multiple teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Support change management activities and stakeholder engagement.
• Drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities to simplify and enhance internal HR processes.
• Build the Project Management capability within the HR Team (developing tools, coaching others and establishing consistent practices).

About you

You are a confident and pragmatic project professional who can bring structure to ambiguity, build alignment across diverse stakeholders and maintain momentum towards business outcomes.

You may have developed the experience and capabilities for this role through a range of industries, roles or career pathways. Relevant experience includes:

• Proven experience managing projects from initiation through to implementation.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and governance practices.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Experience delivering business process improvement and change initiatives.
• Ability to work across multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and influencing skills.
• Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience working with technology, systems or digital transformation projects.
• A collaborative and pragmatic approach, with a focus on achieving sustainable business outcomes.
• Experience delivering projects with people implications.
• Experience working in large or complex organisations.
• Experience working across HRIS technologies and emerging technologies such as AI.
• Continuous improvement, Lean or process mapping experience.
