Job summary

Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (Te Kura) is New Zealand's largest school, delivering distance education to up to 24,000 ākonga. The Project Manager, At Risk Gateway Programmes leads planning and delivery of initiatives enhancing wellbeing, belonging and engagement for ākonga enrolled via at risk gateways, working across teams and sectors.

The role reports to the National Lead and focuses on whānau-centred, community-based projects that strengthen connections and outcomes for ākonga, whānau and kaimahi.

Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven project management experience in education or public sector environments.
  • Values-driven and empathetic approach focused on wellbeing outcomes for ākonga.
  • Strong planning and coordination to manage multiple priorities, resources and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, delivery and successful implementation of assigned projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure projects are well-scoped, well-managed and aligned with organisational priorities.
  • Collaborate across the organisation and sector to deliver targeted interventions for ākonga in at-risk gateways.
  • Report to the National Lead and contribute to broader wellbeing outcomes for ākonga and kaimahi.
