Job summary

Starfish Consulting in Wellington seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of core business systems, information pathways, and digital workplace capabilities on a six-month contract.

You will manage end-to-end project delivery, govern information, and coordinate cross-functional teams including technology, business change, and stakeholders, with a focus on aligning executives and achieving outcomes. Experience with Microsoft 365 and governance frameworks is highly valued.

Our client is embarking on a critical programme of work to establish a unified business systems and information environment.

This fully funded six-month contract offers an experienced Senior Project Manager the opportunity to lead the delivery of core systems, information pathways, and digital workplace capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of business systems integration initiatives.
• Manage the transition of core business applications, platforms, and information repositories into a unified environment.
• Oversee the establishment of information governance, data pathways, and operating processes.
• Drive delivery across multiple workstreams including technology, business change, and stakeholder engagement.
• Manage project plans, risks, dependencies, budgets, and delivery milestones.
• Engage effectively with senior executives and business leaders to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.
• Coordinate vendors, implementation partners, and internal delivery teams.
• Support organisational change activities and user adoption initiatives.

What We're Looking For

You will be a highly capable Senior Project Manager with a proven track record leading complex transformation and technology programmes.

Essential Experience

• Extensive experience delivering enterprise-wide business systems projects.
• Demonstrated success leading organisational integration, merger, or transformation programmes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement experience across executive and operational levels.
• Proven ability to manage complex risks, dependencies, and competing priorities.
• Experience establishing new ways of working across multiple business functions.

Highly Desirable

• Significant Microsoft Digital Uplift experience.
• Proven delivery experience across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including: SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Viva, Identity and collaboration initiatives
• Experience with information management, records management, and governance frameworks.
• Prior experience supporting merger, acquisition, or organisational integration activities.
