Job summary

HEB Construction, part of the VINCI Construction network, seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead a complex civils infrastructure project in New Zealand. You will oversee planning, budgets, and delivery, while building strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and timely outcomes.

You will manage risks, drive commercial performance, and champion HEB’s health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience delivering civil infrastructure projects.
  • Strong Three Waters experience across water, wastewater, and stormwater.
  • Experience managing budgets, programmes, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Sound knowledge of NZS contracts and commercial project management principles.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and client relationships.
  • Strong leadership capability to motivate and develop project teams.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead overall leadership, planning, commercial performance, and successful delivery of this project.
  • Manage project programmes, resources, budgets, and delivery teams within a live environment.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure safety, on-time, on-budget delivery and quality outcomes.
  • Drive forecasting, cost control, and contract administration.
  • Lead planning and construction methodologies to optimise outcomes.
  • Manage project risks, opportunities, and compliance requirements.
  • Oversee procurement and subcontractor management activities.
  • Champion HEB’s health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Develop high-performing teams and a collaborative project culture.
  • Provide regular project reporting to senior leadership and clients.

About the Opportunity

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, planning, commercial performance, and successful delivery of this project.

About You
