Job summary

HEB Construction is seeking a dynamic IT Project Manager to drive IT programs across the business. You will own and continuously improve our project management framework and champion its adoption across the organisation.

As the bridge between business needs and technology, you will guide initiatives from discovery through to implementation, gather requirements, identify improvements, and ensure solutions are tested and validated before delivery.

Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience in an IT environment.
Experience providing project management across IT solutions.
Understanding of complex business processes and ability to identify improvement areas.
Strong understanding of how technology can solve business problems.
Strong analytical, communication, presentation and technical writing abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

HEB Construction is a dynamic and innovative leader in the construction of New Zealand's Infrastructure. We are involved with a variety of projects from road construction and maintenance through to earthworks, drainage, marine works, and major projects of national significance.

We are seeking a dynamic professional to drive project management for IT-related programs across our business. In this role, you will own and continuously improve our project management framework to ensure effective delivery, while leading and promoting its adoption across the organisation.

You will ensure the project is on track and aligned with business goals by promoting and utilising relevant project management collateral.

As the link between business needs and tech solutions, you will guide initiatives from discovery through to implementation, always focused on driving successful outcomes and continuous improvement. You will work closely with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, identify process improvement opportunities, and help shape solutions that deliver value to the business. Acting as the bridge between business and technical teams, you will ensure requirements are understood, stakeholder expectations are managed, and solutions are effectively tested and validated before implementation.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a drive for end-to-end project success and will bring the following qualities:

At least 5 years relevant experience in an IT environment
Experience with providing project management across IT solutions
Understanding of complex business processes and is able to identify areas for improvement, including understanding data, interpreting trends, and making informed decisions
Good understanding of technology and how it can be applied to solve business problems
Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and technical writing abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
