Job summary

Goodman Fielder New Zealand is seeking a Project Engineer for the Meadow Fresh dairy site in Longburn, Palmerston North, to support 3 waters capital works and develop roadmaps for water treatment initiatives. This is an 18-month fixed-term contract within the Group Engineering team.

You will assist in national capital planning, work across Bore & Treatment Plant and Storm Water projects, and manage stakeholder engagements while ensuring compliance and on-schedule delivery.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Process engineering.
• Experience with project delivery of capital, industrial or automation projects.
• Familiar with scope of work documents and technical performance specs.
• Experience with brownfield projects and 3 waters initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement roadmaps for 3 waters developments at the Longburn site (Bore & Treatment Plant and Storm Water Management).
• Prepare initial feasibility studies for FEED and capital approvals.
• Support bore drilling and testing of raw water.
• Support scoping and execution of raw water treatment plant construction.
• Provide programme level scoping for treatment plant projects.

About the Role

We currently have an opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our Group Engineering team at our Meadow Fresh dairy manufacturing site in Longburn, Palmerston North in supporting 3 waters projects at the site.

You will assist in the development and execution of the national dairy capital plan, and design & implement roadmaps for 3 waters developments - imminently, Bore & Treatment Plant, and Storm Water Management ensuring all capital solutions are delivered with compliance and effective stakeholder management.

In order to achieve this, your key responsibilities will include:

• Design and implement roadmaps for 3 waters developments at the Longburn site – imminently; Bore & Treatment Plant and Storm Water Management
• Preparation of initial feasibility studies for FEED and capital approvals
• Support execution of bore drilling and work associated with take and testing of raw water
• Support scoping and execution of raw water treatment plant construction
• Programme level scoping of trade-taste treatment plant

Note: This role is a 18 month fixed term contract.

About You

In order to make this role a success, we are looking for a qualified Project Engineer ideally with a few years' experience in delivering Capital, Industrial, or Automation projects.

Specifically, some of the experiences and skillsets we are looking for include:

• An Engineering qualification (Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Process) is a must; a qualification in Project Management would be highly beneficial
• Experience with Project Organization, cost estimation and scheduling. Familiar with Scope of Work documents & Technical Performance specifications
• Experience with brown field project delivery and 3 waters projects
• Experience with AutoCAD for 2D layouts and P&IDs
