Job summary

Webuild S.p.A. is seeking a proactive Project Accountant to support the New Zealand Canterbury infrastructure project.

You will oversee financial management, reporting, forecasting and compliance across joint venture and corporate requirements, working with finance, commercial and operational teams to drive cost control and cashflow efficiency. Reporting to the AFC Director, you will monitor costs, accruals and reconciliations, provide timely financial analysis, and support month-end/year-end

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting, Finance or equivalent qualification.
• CA, CPA or equivalent professional membership, or working towards, preferred
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in project accounting, commercial finance or construction/project finance environments
• Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure, engineering or construction projects preferred
• Strong understanding of forecasting, budgeting, cost control and cash flow management; ERP systems experience with Oracle, SAP, Pronto or similar

Responsibilities

• Manage project financial and accounting activities in accordance with applicable accounting standards, project requirements and company policies
• Prepare and maintain monthly financial reports, reconciliations and management reporting requirements
• Coordinate project forecasting, budgeting and cash flow reporting activities
• Monitor project costs, commitments and accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Support the preparation, review and submission of joint venture reporting requirements
• Ensure client invoicing is completed accurately and in accordance with contractual terms and project milestones
