Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking an experienced Professional Administrator to join Uru Rauhī, Mental Health and Addiction Services. This varied role provides high-quality office administration and secretarial support to leaders and services.

Based in the Manawatū region, you will work with the Administration Lead and Locality Service Managers to deliver projects and support community and clinical services for people experiencing mental health and addiction events.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in an administration team environment.
  • Excellent computer literacy, particularly in Windows and Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Proven communication skills and the ability to connect and collaborate with senior leaders, external partners and frontline employees.
  • Excellent word-processing skills and a strong command of written English, including grammar and spelling.
  • A collaborative approach, enthusiasm, a good sense of humour and a can-do attitude.

About the Role

Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua – MidCentral is a 350-bed hospital in the city of Palmerston North, Manawatū, a city in the Lower North Island of New Zealand. Palmerston North Hospital is a secondary hospital and offers most medical and surgical specialties with the exception of Cardiothoracic, Plastic and Neurosurgery. The hospital serves a local population of 180,000 but is the base for a regional head and neck oncology service which has responsibility for a population of 550,000 and draws patients from Whanganui, Taranaki, and Hawke’s Bay.
