We're looking for a motivated and experienced manufacturing professional to join our New Product Introduction (NPI) team, playing an important role in turning innovative product designs into efficient, practical manufacturing processes.

Reporting to the NPI Supervisor, you'll work closely with R&D, Engineering and Manufacturing teams to trial new products, develop assembly processes and ensure everything is ready for a successful transition into production.

This is a hands‑on opportunity to build on your manufacturing experience, contribute to continuous improvement and play a key role in bringing Gallagher's next generation of products to life.

What You'll Do
  • Work closely with R&D and Engineering teams to develop practical, efficient manufacturing and assembly processes for new products.

  • Set up and conduct product trials, testing and refining processes before products move into full production.

  • Identify manufacturing challenges and opportunities for improvement, working collaboratively to implement effective solutions.

  • Develop and maintain clear production documentation, including work instructions, assembly procedures and process standards.

  • Support the successful introduction of new products into manufacturing, ensuring production teams have the tools, processes and knowledge they need.

  • Provide hands‑on training and support to production operators on new and updated processes.

  • Champion continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing principles, quality and workplace safety.

  • Collaborate with Production, Planning and Stores teams to support smooth product launches and efficient manufacturing operations.

What You'll Bring
  • At least 5 years' experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.

  • A strong understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly operations and production environments.

  • Experience creating or maintaining technical documentation, work instructions or standard operating procedures.

  • Experience delivering or supporting training within a manufacturing environment.

  • An understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.

  • Strong attention to detail, with a practical approach to identifying and solving problems.

  • Confidence working independently, taking initiative and managing competing priorities.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships across different teams.

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, with experience using ERP or manufacturing systems being an advantage.

  • A positive, adaptable and proactive attitude, with a commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.

What We Offer
  • Ongoing training, development and career progression opportunities.

  • Competitive remuneration, KiwiSaver contributions, and annual bonus opportunities.

  • Life & Disability Insurance.

  • Boost App membership and Gallagher staff discounts.

  • A supportive team culture with team events, recognition programmes, and opportunities to make a real impact.

If you're an experienced manufacturing professional who enjoys getting hands‑on, solving problems and finding better ways of doing things, this could be your opportunity to play an important role in bringing Gallagher's next generation of products to life.
