Job summary

Gallagher Group Limited is seeking a Product Owner to champion the platforms and services that empower our engineering teams to deliver world-class products. Reporting to the Value Stream Lead – Core Modernisation, you will define strategy, priorities, and investment decisions for development tools, shared services, and test environments.

You will work closely with engineering leaders and stakeholders to ensure platform initiatives align with business objectives, are funded appropriately, and

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar product role with technical or platform products.
• Technical and platform empathy, connecting engineering capability to business value and investment decisions.
• Confidence practising internal-customer product management and prioritisation trade-offs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with fluency in Agile ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Own the product direction for the test and simulation environment used to assure products across complex configurations, including performance and resilience.
• Represent engineering teams as internal customers, make assumptions explicit and maintain feedback loops to understand and prioritise platform and test needs.
• Build the business and investment case for development systems, shared services, platform and assurance work to compete fairly with feature delivery.
• Own the outcome-level roadmap and prioritisation, partnering with engineering leads who manage technical delivery and the day-to-day backlog.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Product Owner to champion the platforms and services that enable our engineering teams to deliver world-class products. Reporting to the Value Stream Lead – Core Modernisation, you'll define the strategic direction, priorities, and investment decisions for the development tools, shared services, and test environments that underpin product delivery.

Working closely with engineering leaders and stakeholders across the business, you'll ensure platform initiatives are aligned with business objectives, appropriately funded, and delivered at the right time to maximise value alongside customer-facing product development.

Key responsibilities include:

• Own the product direction for the test and simulation environment used to assure our products across complex configurations, including performance and resilience

Comfortable navigating both technical and business conversations, you can translate engineering needs into clear priorities, articulate the value of platform investments, and make informed trade-offs that balance short-term delivery with long-term capability. Trusted by engineers and stakeholders alike, you excel at creating alignment, driving clarity, and bringing people together around shared outcomes

You’ll bring:

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar product role, ideally working with technical or platform products
• Technical and platform empathy, with the ability to connect engineering capability to business value, outcomes and investment decisions
• Confidence practising internal-customer product management and making clear prioritisation trade-offs
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, together with fluency in Agile ways of working
