Job summary

Gallagher is seeking an experienced manufacturing professional to join the New Product Introduction (NPI) team in Hamilton, New Zealand. The role focuses on turning innovative product designs into practical, efficient manufacturing processes and trialing them to readiness for production.

You will work with R&D, Engineering and Manufacturing to develop processes, document work instructions, and support successful product transitions into production.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in manufacturing or production environments.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly operations.
• Experience creating or maintaining work instructions or SOPs.
• Experience delivering training in manufacturing settings.
• Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement knowledge.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Good communication and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop practical, efficient manufacturing and assembly processes for new products with R&D and Engineering.
• Set up product trials, test and refine processes before full production.
• Identify challenges and opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions.
• Create and maintain production documentation including work instructions and procedures.
• Support introduction of new products into manufacturing and ensure teams have tools and knowledge.
• Provide hands-on training and support to production operators on new processes.
• Champion Lean, quality, and workplace safety in daily activities.
• Collaborate with Production, Planning and Stores for smooth product launches and operations.
