RYHR is seeking a Production Supervisor for a hands-on manufacturing environment in Whanganui. You will lead a small on-site team, organise daily work, and ensure quality while keeping operations moving. You will also learn the products thoroughly, preparing for future growth into Production Manager.
The role is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with occasional travel to remote sites for 3–5 days per month. This position offers a pathway to higher responsibilities within the company.
Our client is a third-generation, family-owned NZ business that has been manufacturing here for 75 years. They make a wide range of specialist products, so there’s plenty to get your head around - rubber and matting, custom ramps, sports and recreational products, and more.
They’re looking for a Production Supervisor to run the day-to-day production team and keep things moving.
You’ll be on the floor, working alongside the team, organising the work, keeping an eye on quality and sorting things out when they don’t go to plan. You’ll also be expected to keep standards up, give people direction and look for better ways of doing things.
You could come from trades, construction, manufacturing or another hands-on environment. If you’ve led a crew, know how the work gets done and are ready to take on more responsibility, your background could transfer well here.
You don’t need to know their products on day one. You do need to be someone who wants to learn them properly - because the longer-term opportunity is to grow into the Production Manager role.
It’s a small team, a practical environment and a Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm role. All based in Whanganui. The role will involve working onsite, as well as travelling out of town for jobs when required (at around 3–5 days per month).
