Job summary

Rio Tinto NZ Aluminium Smelter (NZAS) in Invercargill invites applications for Production Operator roles. You will work on a 12-hour roster (2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off), receive full training, and join a safety-focused, diverse team committed to ongoing development.

No aluminium manufacturing experience is required; successful candidates will gain hands-on experience and transferable skills while working with fixed and mobile plant equipment. A NZ driver's licence is required.

Qualifications

• Commitment to safety of yourself and your team.
• Complete pre-employment medical and physical assessments.
• A full and current New Zealand driver's licence.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to undertake physical work in an industrial environment.
• Workshop/ hands-on/ manufacturing or industrial experience helpful but not required.

• Operate fixed and mobile plant equipment.
• Complete manual operational tasks across production areas.
