Placements24 is seeking a reliable Production Operator to join a pharmaceutical manufacturing team in Queenstown. You will operate and monitor equipment, follow batch records and SOPs, and contribute to producing high-quality products on schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine checks and minor maintenance to ensure performance and safety.
  • Follow batch records and SOPs accurately.
  • Monitor processes and product quality, report deviations.
  • Maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe work environment.
  • Record production data (quantities, parameters, quality checks).

About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and diligent Production Operator to join their manufacturing team in Queenstown. This role is fundamental to the successful production of high-quality pharmaceutical products. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment, ensuring adherence to strict production schedules, and upholding the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, able to follow detailed instructions, and committed to contributing to a productive and compliant manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor various pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, such as tablet presses, capsule fillers, and packaging machines.
  • Perform routine checks and minor maintenance on production machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Follow detailed batch records and standard operating procedures (SOPs) accurately.
  • Monitor production processes and product quality, identifying and reporting any deviations or potential issues.
  • Ensure a clean and orderly work environment, adhering to hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Accurately record production data, including quantities, process parameters, and quality checks.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the pharmaceutical or food industry.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety protocols.
  • Ability to operate machinery and perform basic troubleshooting.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
  • Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting moderate weights, and able to work on-site in Queenstown.
