Placements24 seeks an experienced Process Chemist to join the pharmaceutical development team in Queenstown. Qualifications

• MSc/PhD in Organic Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in process chemistry, preferably pharma.
• Strong knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry and scale-up.
• Familiar with GMP guidelines and regulatory aspects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize synthetic routes for API intermediates and final products.
• Scale up chemical processes from laboratory to pilot plant and commercial scales.
• Conduct process safety assessments and implement control measures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during process development and manufacturing.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Process Chemist to join their pharmaceutical development team in Queenstown . This role is vital for developing, optimizing, and scaling up chemical synthesis processes for active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). You will work closely with formulation scientists and analytical chemists to ensure efficient, robust, and safe manufacturing processes that meet regulatory requirements. This on-site position is essential for hands-on laboratory work and close collaboration with manufacturing teams. Contribute to bringing life-saving medicines to market.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize synthetic routes for API intermediates and final products.
