Job summary

Leonard's in East Tamaki, Auckland, is seeking a reliable Production Operator for our Small Goods Processing team. The role supports efficient production, processing, and packaging of our premium meat products, with a Monday–Friday 5:00 am to 1:30 pm schedule.

You will operate cutting, trimming, grinding and other machinery, maintain food safety and quality standards, and help keep a clean, safe workspace while supporting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food processing or manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong work ethic and positive, can-do attitude.
• Good physical fitness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Process and prepare a variety of small goods and meat products to specifications.
• Operate processing equipment such as cutting, trimming, grinding, and packaging machinery.
• Assist in manufacturing sausages, bacon, cured meats and other products.
• Accurately pack, label, and prepare products for distribution.
• Maintain food safety, quality, and hygiene standards at all times.
• Keep a clean, safe, organized work area.
• Support team productivity and continuous improvement initiatives.
