Job summary

ZAMBESI in Auckland is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead the garment production team from concept to final collection. You will bridge design and execution, overseeing domestic manufacturing and coordinating with suppliers and contractors.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in apparel production management, strong planning and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and fluency with Microsoft 365 and Fabrix/Lightspeed systems.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage cutting, sewing, finishing to schedule and liaise with local contractors.
• Coordinate with suppliers to order bulk fabrics and trims as required.
• Create garment costings and technical specs; log SKUs in systems.
• Input product SKUs into Lightspeed POS system and manage orders.
• Oversee importation of international brands, liaising with freight and logistics.
• Collate and manage store and wholesale orders, coordinating dispatch and distribution.

ZAMBESI is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead the garment production team in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland). This is a senior role requiring a professional with a solid, proven track record in apparel production management. You will be the bridge between design and execution, overseeing domestic manufacturing from concept to the final collection.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the cutting, sewing, finishing of all garments to schedule, including liaising with local external contractors.
• Correspond with suppliers and manufacturers to order bulk fabric and trims as required.
• Enter new fabrics into the Fabrix system, create technical specification sheets for garments, and create garment costings.
• Input new product SKUs into Lightspeed POS System.
• Manage the importation of International Brands, liaising with freight companies, overseeing delivery, costing garments and inputting product SKUs into Lightspeed.
• Collate and manage Zambesi store & wholesale orders using Fabrix system, liaise with clients and oversee dispatch & distribution of orders to schedule.

About you

• Proven track record in apparel production management, preferably local.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, meet deadlines, problem solve and demonstrate aptitude.
• Friendly and approachable manner, communicative and responsive.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365
• Ability to adapt to software systems, including Production Fabrix, Lightspeed POS System,
